Kirsten Ho 賀倩瑩
Theatre & Creative Learning Consultant. Dance Artist & Choreographer.
With a career in the arts sector that spans two decades, Kirsten has considerable experience within creative, executive, arts management and further education realms across London, New York and Hong Kong. Former General Manager at Shobana Jeyasingh Dance, People & Culture lead at National Youth Theatre and Associate Artist at English National Ballet, Kirsten is currently a Mentee for Dancers’ Career Development 2026 Beyond Dance Mentoring Programme.
Through her creative career working with young people, she has led in training, safeguarding, EEDI (Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) and inclusive practice. Kirsten remains dedicated, both professionally and personally, to fostering access, diversity, inclusion, and advocating for Equality of Opportunity. She was a member of Space for Change 2023-24 with A New Direction, a peer learning opportunity for creative learning leaders interested in creating more inclusive, equitable and sustainable work. Kirsten is also a choreographer listed on Backstage Niche, an organisation who seek to inform and encourage the younger generation from various Global backgrounds to consider the exciting possibilities of a career in backstage theatre.
Kirsten’s choreography brings a distinctive approach to contemporary dance, rooted in her dual heritage and identity. Her movement style centres around duality- harmony, balance, opposition, tension, contrast- in a way that is layered, undefined and free. As a global citizen, she seeks to celebrate intersectionality, diversity and multiculturalism with a yin-yang, linear-circular dance style that embraces complexity without the need for resolution. Her repertoire comprises of high-energy works that blend tradition and modernity, where difference can co-exist. She encourages audiences to engage with her work on their own journey of exploration as a collective experience. A full list of works can be found here.
As a dancer, Kirsten has worked with prolific choreographers and companies including H.T. Chen and Dancers (Joyce Theatre among others), Muna Tseng Dance Projects (Jacob’s Pillow), The Box (NYC) and Nutkhut’s Bollywood Steps (UK National Tour), and has taught at many schools including the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
